I cannot sign, I get the message "The password is incorrect"

If you are sure you entered the correct password, but the system shows the error again, please go to this SAT page to validate it.
If after following these steps the SAT system tells you that it is incorrect, the only option to obtain it is to request it again at the SAT offices since there is no other way to recover it.

If when you enter your e.firma's password to sign a document, Mifiel shows you that it is incorrect, it may be for one of the following reasons:

  • You are entering the wrong password. Remember that you must use the password of your e.firma, which you created at the time of requesting it at the SAT offices. Do not confuse it with the CIEC password used to access the SAT portal. They are different passwords (unless you have used the same one in both cases). It is not your Mifiel account password either.
  • You typed it wrong. Your e.firma password is case sensitive, so you must type it exactly as you created it. To make sure you don't make a mistake, click on 'View' in the field where you enter it.
  • You don't remember it. Sometimes the SAT will give you a piece of paper to write it down when you generate it. Try to find it. If you cannot find this paper—and you do not remember it—, the only option is to revoke it and request a new e.firma at the SAT offices.
